ILS Wins AEO’s Exhibition Logistics Provider of the Year
ILS is delighted to announce that the company scooped top spot in the category “Exhibition Logistics Provider of the Year” at this year’s prestigious AEO Awards which were held on 4th June 2008 at Earls Court in London.
As the winner, ILS was judged to be the most innovative and customer-focussed of the companies that made the final awards shortlist in this keenly contested category.
Understandably, David Bourne, Managing Director of ILS is delighted about the success and the AEO recognition.
“Winning an AEO Award is no easy thing to do as you have to beat many other logistics suppliers by proving to a panel of leading exhibition and event organisers that the services provided are not just innovative but useful to the companies that will be using or receiving them. So this award is, for us, first and foremost a recognition that all the effort the ILS team has put into improving the way we do things, how we relate to our customers and try to serve their interests, has been well-founded and worthwhile.
“This approach to working was probably the key part of our Awards entry this year and it’s something that we have named the PMP initiative. This new process, unique to ILS, is the culmination of studying our own best practice principles which have been tried and tested over many years and across many different events.
“To learn more about PMP, details will be published on our website very soon. In the meantime, I should just like to say a big thank you to our customers, to all of my ILS colleagues and, of course, to the AEO judges who voted for us. We look forward to entering the Awards again next year.

Stanco Exhibitions and International Lifting & Shipping Announce Joint Venture Partnership
Two of the country’s most experienced exhibition contracting businesses with a combined history of more than 70 years between them have announced a strategic alliance that will offer significant benefits to both their existing and future customers.
Stanco Exhibitions and lifting and freighting specialist, International Lifting & Shipping (ILS),have come together to create a partnership that offers exhibition organisers and their clients a full range of event support services. In effect, a one-stop shop for all exhibition organising requirements.
“This agreement means that we can now offer exhibition organisers a truly “full” exhibition contracting service – something that is important to a number of our clients” comments Paul Slaney, Managing Director of Stanco.
“It means that build-ups should be even smoother and more efficient for exhibitors and we are delighted to be working so closely with the highly experienced team at ILS.”
David Bourne, Managing Director of ILS points out that “both companies have often worked together on a variety of different events over the years and we have come to recognise a synergy in our work methods and practices.
We like the way our respective companies handle things and can see the same attention to detail in the way that Stanco plans for and handles events as we do. This mutual respect for quality work is very important for a partnership like this to succeed – we need to know that our partner’s standards are as high as our own.”
A further dimension to the alliance is that it will also boost both companies appeal to organisers running shows outside the UK – both ILS and Stanco handle a growing number of such events and this partnership can only help both companies to attract more shows in Europe. |
